COPD Diploma

Face to Face courses are available in your own locality when they have been commissioned by your employer/ICB. Your training hub will be able to advise you whether these are currently available in your area.

The Respiratory Matters COPD diploma is suitable for health care professionals who are caring for people with COPD. The course is very practical and has been designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge required to be able to provide gold standard care to the person with COPD from the point of an accurate diagnosis and ensuring that effective management strategies are implemented throughout the disease trajectory.

The diploma is undertaken via eLearning where you will find the PowerPoint presentations with audio, interactive quizzes, videos, and resources. There are no set enrolment dates so the course can be started at anytime throughout the year. The duration of the course is 6 months.

With each module it is recommended to complete the ‘tasks’ to support your studies and you will then be able to use these as reference when you complete the MCQ exams. These exams are timed but do not have to be completed on set dates, to allow flexibility.

You will have the opportunity (not mandatory) for 1-2-1 tutorials, via ZOOM on request.

The courses measurable learning outcomes have been benchmarked at level 5, using Ofqual’s regulated qualifications framework (RCF) level descriptors to allow participants to consider the depth of study, difficulty, and level of achievement involved.

The COPD Diploma has been accredited by the CPD certification service. CPD training means the learning activity has reached the required Continuing Professional Development standards and benchmarks. The learning value has been scrutinised to ensure integrity and quality. The CPD Certification Service provides recognised independent CPD accreditation compatible with global CPD requirements.

Significant discounts can be given to ICB’s or training hubs who commission our courses either face to face or via eLearning. For further information please see the Commissioning page.
